Get ready! Over the next few weeks I’m going to be sharing some tips on how to make Tax Time a bit less taxing on you energy-wise and time-wise.
I am NOT an accountant, so I just want to say that you should always consult your own tax professional if you have specific tax questions. Most of my tips will be based on how to get organized, how to save some time preparing your taxes, how to get a system in place for staying organized throughout the year, and of course some product reviews.
Last year was the first year that we filed a joint return, and I did the taxes myself using online tax software and boy was it easy! I was really intimidated at first, but tax software has changed so much to the point where they literally hold your hand and walk you through every step in a really easy-to-understand way.
I might use a different software package this year, not so much because I wasn’t happy with what I previously used, but because I want to test out some other software titles for my own benefit and of course, for yours!
One of my friends, Kristine McKinley, is a CPA and she has some great material on running a small business and dealing with confusing tax issues. I’ll be giving you some more information from her this week as well.
So stay tuned for some AutomaticMoms-Style Tax Tips and Resources!
