Everyone is raving about “premium wordpress themes”, particularly the magazine-style themes that let you create high-end websites with just a few theme modifications.
This “Saturday Deal” is all about the Premium WordPress Theme Club from WooThemes, and it’s a great one…especially if you run (or would like to run) multiple websites with WordPress and give them all a fresh look.
The Club has several different membership options, but the idea is that once you join you get access to all of the themes that they have already created (and boy, are they beautiful themes!) along with a minimum of one new WordPress theme each month that you are a member.
As of this writing, there are twelve themes, most of which come with multiple color schemes which only multiply the awesomeness if you ask me. Individually, a theme from WooThemes would cost you about $70, and it’s worth every penny, but if you join the Club, you can have access to all of the current and future themes for as little as $150!
Now, there are some membership rules…you can join for three months for $150 and use each theme in the membership on two sites concurrently. After you have built your site with the theme, you don’t have to pay anything beyond your membership but if you get a flash of genius one night and come up with a new blog idea, and you want to use a theme you had when you were a member, you have to pay a license fee. But, just use the themes right away and get them on your domains and you’ll be able to use them and have technical support and updates forever. You can also renew your membership later if you like.
If you are more the maverick type and want to be able to use your darned themes anytime and anywhere you want (insert foot stomp here) then I suggest you go for the Developer membership and you can use your themes on as many sites as you like. It’s a little pricey, but if you have a bunch of domains you are switching over to WordPress it might make sense financially to pay a bit more to get more use out of the membership.
