Ahem….can I please direct your attention to the beautiful new header design above for AutomaticMoms.Com? Notice anything….different?

Heck ya, it’s different! My slapped-up, quickie header that I designed myself in May of 2007 has been officially replaced with the new, beautiful header you see above. Heather Bixler of Girly Blog Designz designed the header and I could not be more pleased! It’s exactly the facelift that the site needed!

I’ve worked with designers before, and I have to say that working with Heather was effortless. I gave her some guidelines but basically said that I trusted her to come up with something and use her own design judgment. She did a fantastic job (and quickly!) so I wanted to give her a public shout out so that if any of my readers are looking for a designer for this type of thing, you’ll know who to call!

Heather’s portfolio pretty much says it all….her style is impeccable and she can help you come up with some great color schemes. The only information I gave her about colors (a topic on which I am greatly challenged) was that the salmon pink of the old header was a little light, so maybe something darker should be used. I said that other than that I was at a design loss, so if she could come up with something, fine by me. And she did just that!
