Thanks for the Toys for Tots Boost!

I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who boosted Toys for Tots the past week! I was happy to see that this post was linked to, tweeted on Twitter and talked about and that people helped out by writing their own Toys for Tots posts!

I hope to make this an annual appeal, and next year I’d like to organize something in advance of the holidays to get this effort off to a fantastic start! As a child, I never knew what it was like to go without at Christmas, and I remember how magical the season felt for me and my family. It’s tough to comprehend that for some kids, Christmas and the holidays in general are just regular days with no magic. They are just as tough as all of the other days of the year.

But I’m very heartened by the fact that so many people talked about, posted and tweeted the Toys for Tots URL and mentioned the need. There will unfortunately always be a need for this organization, but with the help of bloggers and Twitter folks like you, I think we helped make a small difference this holiday season!
